Nydam. I like a lot of her prints, with this as the favorite among the larger ones. Among the smaller prints, I particularly like Hermit Crab

.

It's 2008, and...

… it’s time to be thinking of presents, mainly for others, but also for me. Much of the art featured in earlier posts is unavailable. For example, Blue Flip art ceased trading.

Finding Peace in Solutide by Si Clark.

Finding Peace in Solutide by Si Clark.

Many of the wish-links from this site lead to Gallery Nucleus....

Many of the wish-links from this site lead to Gallery Nucleus. Here’s another one: this is Tono-Hime, by Mari Inukai.

Nucleus recently upgraded its web site. Fortunately, the site is improved. Unfortunately, the update broke existing links to specific prints and other content at the site. I think I’ve fixed all the broken links from this blog now.

Some art is wearable, and some of my favorite wearable art is at...

Some art is wearable, and some of my favorite wearable art is at Threadless. This is the recently-released Splash of Senses. Another design I like a lot, but do not yet own, is the recently-reprinted Foxy. A guy’s large in either of those designs would be most welcome…

On second thoughts, probably best to get the download of OK...

On second thoughts, probably best to get the download of OK Computer from Amazon, particularly since paying in $ rather than in £ seems like a good idea these days. But I’ll leave the original post, and I still think that the USBear is cute.

This looks like a good addition to my Christmas/birthday list, and I don’t remember saying that this online art cart was only for visual art.

The Radiohead albums from the days of major label record deals (so long ago now) are available in three limited-edition formats:

Download, cheapest at £35, with DRM-free, high quality 320 kbps MP3s.

USB stick, coolest, and hence in the picture, but most expensive at £80, with CD quality WAV audio files. I hope and assume that the files are DRM-free.

7 CDs, most retro, at £40.

The above list is in order of preference. I don’t want more CD cluttering up the place, and I don’t think that the USB, cute though it is, would be worth the extra £45 for me.

Tumblr 3.0: Meet the New Blog, Same as the Old Blog

The release on the first of this month of Tumblr 3.0 drew some attention. It doesn’t change much for me. Or maybe it does… I just tried to put a link into this post, and saw some rather strange stuff in the popup window.

This is “Making It Out,” by Ric Stultz. I was too slow to get it as a print when it was available. The original is, at the time of updating, still available…

In other good, but more affordable news, Blue Flip now carry some of Ric’s prints.

Orange Flowers by Catia Chien. I like a lot of Catia’s work a lot, so don’t hesitate to get me more than one print by her. I’m already the proud posessor of Castle. There’s a bunch of other good stuff at her site, including the Winter postcards set.

Then there’s Meditation, part of the tiny showcase winter collection.

Nippon Seifuku, by Mari Inukai. Feel free to look around, especially if you’re thinking of buying a present for me.

This is my son Max. He likes to look at things too. I posted his picture here when I first set up this blog, and was wondering what to do with it. The Art Cart idea didn’t come to me until a couple of months later.
